The 93 beautiful blogs

I read 93 different blogs on a regular basis. That doesn't include alerts I get when someone posts about knitting and Lyme in the same blog. 93 individual blogs averages about 40 to 100 posts per day. Yes, I don't always read these posts the day they are posted, but I get around to it at least once a week. Given that I read so many posts per week, I find it interesting that I very seldom comment. I, maybe, at best, comment on one post per week. I wonder why I'm like this. I love getting comments on my blog. It's just that I never know the right thing to say to others. I mean, how many times can one write, "looks great, keep up the good work." and still mean it?

Anyway. Here is an excuse to comment on a blog post. I'll even tell you what to say.

Tell me, how many blogs do you read, how often do you comment? What's the weather like today? Tell me something completely irrevilant about your day. Have fun with it.

I read about 9 blogs, which I follow using Blogger's Dashboard...love that feature! Today, Chelsea and I went downtown to visit my work (I'm starting back next week) and they ooh'ed and aah'ed over how big she's gotten. She took her first steps this week! :-) Have a great night...

There are about 23 websites on my Google Reader page. Some are webcomics, some are news blogs, some are personal blogs. The news blogs update too often and I don't read all the posts, but I read the personal ones regularly.
I really like comments, even if they're the same thing repeated. I think I only have a reader base of half a dozen people, but it's nice to get a small confirmation that someone is reading.

I read about three, on average, a day. And I rarely comment, unless I feel absolutely compelled to or the blog belongs to someone I'm close to and thus feel comfortable commenting.

The weather is cold, but nice. I wore a fairly light coat today. That's a good sign. I'm looking forward to more sunshine and I cannot even begin to explain just how excited I am about seeing the cherry trees blossom over here. It's going to be breath-taking!

Something completely irrelevant? I think the crows in Cook St. Village were concocting an evil plan this morning. They were all gathering onto this big tree. Crows are crafty. I'm simultaneously perplexed, amused, and anxious about crows.

I read about 15 a day, and I maybe comment once or twice a week -- very random, and nothing earth-shattering. It IS funny, because, like you, I also love comments... hey, it was nice to see you yesterday! Hope the move went well...

I read 36 blogs -- fortunately only one is a group-run entry-fest that runs to dozens of unread posts! I have only commented about 5 times in the last year. I think I only comment when i feel comfortably lost in the crowd (harlot, mason-dixon, eg) or when i'm totally confident in the kindness of that blogger and i have something to share (more than a "yay you!")that feels worthwhile.
The weather doesn't matter because i'm crabby from staying up for the football game: 11:00 is too late!

I read way too many blogs, but I've started cutting down a bit because I have a few projects that I want to see going forward, so I have to organise my time differently. I never comment on most of those blogs; those on which I leave a comment for pretty much every post, like yours, are very rare.
As for the weather, on the day you posted this, we had to endure a day-long drizzle in Vancouver - it was te most depressing day of our whole trip, but we were headed to Victoria the next day, so I knew there was hope. Here today, it's a gorgeous sunny and warm day, which is quite surprising for February (usually, if it's sunny, it's cold, and if it's warm, it's cloudy). Still, we're very far from the lovely blooming trees we saw in Victoria two weeks ago...
