He used to have the most beautiful comb! But alas, he's not the wisest when it comes to battle. But the hens love him and that's what counts in the end.
I think this is one of my favouite examples of how much personality handmade paints can add to the picture. I don't think I could get the feathers half way close without it.

Lovely! A handsome rooster and a handsome painting. Yes, I definitely see the personality shining through. But I suspect that reflects the ability of the artist more than of the paints.
