Trampled by Geese is a reminder to myself to look at the positive side of life and to endeavour to only write about things that inspire me rather than focus on what is negative in the world. Kirkegaard once wrote, “Being trampled by geese is a slow way of dying, but being eaten to death by envy and greed is even slower and more painful”.

spring flowers
starting to get the hang of oil pastels
It's a tricky medium and even more so because it never dries all the way. I think that will become frustrating eventually.
I'm getting caught up on my blog visiting and interested to see your progress with the oil pastels. It's funny how each medium has its own learning curve.
I learned to paint with acrylics, but I remember our teacher explaining the difference with those and oil paints and the difference that stuck with me was drying time and how that can be used to advantage. Of course any oil is slow to dry, but I can see how that would be challenging.
